Manchester City fan looking forward to next international window
After a long day welding at the ABI Steel Works, Aaron Baily was relieved to see the number 83 arrive on time for his commute back to Oldham. Choosing the empty seat next to our reporter, the conversation naturally turned towards football. A lifelong City fan, Aaron had an interesting take on this season’s run in.
“Look, I’m a born and bred blue” Aaron began, with visible effort and a monotonous tone. “My family is a long line of blues. Football is all we know, and this team, well, this is the time of the year we move up the gears……So, you know, yeah. But look, maybe there is too much football. I guess there is. It gets in the way of life, doesn’t it? I mean, this weekend I could do the groceries with the missus, or finish off the bathroom DIY. I think the mother-in-law’s birthday is coming up, and it’s almost spring so the garden needs a tune up. Football gets in the way of all that doesn’t it? Ah this is my stop. Have a good one.”
More on this as we get it.
